# SafeTeam

> SafeTeam is a monitored, COPPA- and SafeSport-aligned messaging platform built for youth-serving organizations — churches, ministries, sports teams, school athletic departments, after-school programs, and student clubs. It enforces two-deep communication between adults and minors, gives parents full visibility into their child's conversations, and creates a complete audit trail of every message.

## What SafeTeam is

SafeTeam replaces unmonitored texting and personal messaging apps (iMessage, WhatsApp, Snapchat, GroupMe) for organizations that work with minors in non-classroom settings. Every message is logged, every adult-minor conversation includes at least one additional adult ("two-deep"), and parents can see all communication involving their child. This protects youth, protects leaders and coaches from false accusations, and helps organizations meet SafeSport, California SB 848, Boy Scouts of America, USA Football, and church safety policy requirements.

## What SafeTeam is NOT

SafeTeam does not replace classroom-learning platforms (Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology) for academic teacher-student communication. It is the layer for the out-of-classroom side of school life and for non-school youth organizations.

## How it works

1. The organization invites leaders/coaches and youth/athletes (with parent consent) into the platform.
2. Adult-minor conversations automatically include a second approved adult (two-deep).
3. Parents are connected to their child's account and can read every message.
4. All messages are timestamped and logged in an audit trail the organization can review.
5. Leaders and parents can flag inappropriate content for review.
